Downtown Dog is located in a 22,500 square foot 1920´s renovated dress factory that sits on an full acre of green and open spaces. Click the Site Map at the right to see what we've got for you!
Read below about the activities and services we provide:
[1] There is the OSHA approved Hair of the Dog grooming salon, using only the finest organic shampoos and conditioners.
Even the gels and sprays we use to spike your doggy´s Downtown Do or tame the Mutt Cut are from natural products. The Barker Lounge room
in the salon keeps our doggies spit-polished and groomed while they wait for their ride home.
[2] There are several Potty Parks where we take the pups to relieve themselves in attempts to limit waste in exercise, play and relaxation areas.
[3] Semper Fi-Do, the exercise area and boot camp, is a Texas-sized 85´ wide and 200´ feet deep. It is filled with places to run, jump, climb,
and swim with work-out trainers in the camp, encouraging and leading the doggies in all their activities. This exercise area is primarily for medium
and large dogs throughout the day, but our aged, infirm, and injured re-hab dogs are also scheduled to occupy the park at assigned times.
[4] The Semper Fi-Fi Playground caters to the little tyke dogs, everything on a smaller scale than Semper Fi-Do, and separate from the Big Dogs.
[5] While our Special Needs pups are getting exercise in Semper Fido, our M-L-XL doggies will cool off and relax under the elm, pecan, and fir trees
in the green spaces of Downtown Dog Country. Flowers, shade trees, bird feeders, wind chimes, and most importantly...squirrels! We've built
a Squirrel Highway connecting the trees so the squirrels run about safely above while entertaining the dogs below.
[6] Indoor cooling off and rest areas are important after playing in the Texas heat. At midday all our pups go to the Barker Lounge Room and
take a nap from 11:30-1:30 in an air-conditioned quiet space. Then it's water, treats and the we run the whole program all over again, until the you,
the Pet Parents, pick up your happy and relaxed Daycare doggy.
[7] If your pup is going to sleep over at Downtown Dog, he/ she is never left unattended: no locking the doors in the evenings, leaving the pups alone,
and returning early in the a.m. There is always an attendant on the Downtown Dog property, always.
The Dormitory building separates by size and by need. All big dogs sleep in the big dog dorm, and so on. Each pup sleeps in a suite and sleeps separately unless requested otherwise.
[8] There are several indoor cooled areas for rainy day play, agility courses and dog training.
